It's Abilities Week at Southeast Middle School! Students are encouraged to wear spirited attire to support various abilities awareness. This week provides our students opportunities to learn more about topics such as vision impairments, Parkinson disease, anxiety, Tourette's, ADHD, and cerebral palsy. It is our goal as a staff to help students better understand the different ways those with various challenges and talents navigate their day and help students understand how to be a friend. Teachers will be nominating students every day that show kindness, understanding, and empathy towards others. At the end of the week, a drawing will be held for each grade level. Baskets have been donated by some of our families with some amazing gifts and we thank each of you, especially our parent mentor, Christina Hemberger for helping us organize it all!
