Did you know ?
Southeast Local Schools has a preschool program for children aged 3-5, run by the Summit ESC. Our Integrated Preschool fosters an inclusive and welcoming environment where children with diverse needs learn and grow together. Our peer models play a vital role in supporting their classmates and creating a vibrant, enriching classroom community.
What is a Peer Model?
Peer models are typically developing children who participate alongside children with special needs. As a peer model, your child will: Foster friendships with children of all abilities, develop empathy and leadership skills, engage in a rich, hands-on learning environment, and be part of a supportive and diverse community.
We have a limited number of spots available for peer models. Peer models are selected based on a model of appropriateness, prioritized in the order of request. If you are interested in having your child attend preschool as a peer model, complete the screening application as soon as possible by following the link or scanning the QR code below. After you have completed the google form you will be invited to peer screenings on March 7th.
