Frank and his wife Donna have been residents of North Benton since 1987. They have one daughter, Samantha. Frank is a 1977 graduate of Hiram College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and History with a Special Concentration in American Studies. He earned a Master of Science degree in 2012 from Ohio University in Sport and Recreational Science. He was also forced to graduate from the Limbaugh Institute in 2021. Frank is retired from the sunroom industry after 40 years. He was the head softball coach at Our Lady of the Elms and then at Archbishop Hoban.

John and his wife Dreamma are both Southeast alumni and long term residents of the community. They have two children who are also graduates of Southeast. They are raising their nephew who will graduate from Southeast in 2022. John and his family are fully committed to this school district and the community. He graduated from Malone University with a MBA degree and is employed with Kent Elastomer Products as their Vice President of Operations.

Mary resides in Deerfield township. She is the mother of two Southeast graduates, and has five grandchildren. Mary’s late husband Duane was also a Southeast graduate. Mary is committed to the school district and the Southeast community. She has served 24 years as a school board member. Mary graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. She is retired with 34 years of government service from the United States Postal Service.

Erin Ahrens resides in Palmyra Township with her husband Curtis (Southeast alumni Class of 99) and their two children Leah and Evan Ahrens, who attend Southeast Intermediate School. Erin attended Ohio State University and earned her BA in Sociology and her MA in Counselor Education. Erin has nearly 20 years of career experience in higher education and school counseling. She currently serves as the Coordinator of Community Engagement for the Kent State University Honors College. Erin and Curtis own and operate Ahrens Farm and Stables. Her family is a strong supporter of all things related to Southeast Soccer and Portage County 4-H. In her free time Erin enjoys yoga, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
